Deb has worked in the field of clinical psychotherapy for over 23 years. She has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults struggling to make a change in their lives, as well as with couples to resolve conflict and improve relationship satisfaction.   Deb offers counseling services that motivate individuals and partners to harness their strengths, make healthy decisions, and reach their personal and/ or couples goals. Deb also offers counseling and support services around the painful and often confusing challenges of infertility and difficulty conceiving.

Deb believes a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship is crucial to successful treatment. Her therapeutic approach is solution-focused and emphasizes the mind-body connection.

Using a strength-based model of treatment, Deb helps others reach their goals by utilizing the resources they currently have.

Talissa joined Evolve Psychotherapy in 2019, having worked with various age groups from young adults to geriatrics. Talissa treats a range of issues, including, but not limited to: Mood Disorders, Domestic Violence, Family Members of Loved Ones Struggling with Addiction, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, Trauma Primarily Related to Abuse.

 

Additionally, Talissa focuses on folks who are having trouble coping, forming healthy social relationships, adjusting to new settings such as college, and thriving in daily life management.

 

People with these challenges may have a hard time coping due to worry of mental health stigmas, low self-esteem, and feelings of shame and self-blame. Talissa believes that a person can make improvements in their life with some guidance to increase effective coping skills, self-worth, and a better understanding of themselves with education on mental health and/or addiction issues. With this approach, the ultimate hope is to build more confidence to better thrive in daily life and be more emotionally prepared to manage stressors as they come. Talissa feels it is important for the client to lead the way in their treatment with setting goals and boundaries, to ensure that therapy is a time of feeling safe and comfortable for self expression and reaching goals.

Karen joined Evolve Psychotherapy in 2021, with 25 years of experience as a psychotherapist. Karen has worked with individuals and families or all ages with various challenges, and treats a range of challenges, including, but not limited to: Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Poor Self-Esteem, Trauma, Addiction, Interpersonal Relationships, Phase of Life and Adjustment Challenges

Karen’s experience has taught her that people seek therapy for many reasons; sometimes it is due to historical events that need processing and clearing out, sometimes it is to seek resolution to current life circumstances, such as family or work challenges that make life feel unmanageable. Whatever the reason, Karen believes that, when one is ready to make a change, it is through identifying challenging patterns in one’s thinking and/ or behaviors that will increase insight, empathy, understanding, awareness and self-acceptance. Karen offers treatment that includes, CBT, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based therapy. Karen believes that life is always evolving and we are all capable of evolving with it and creating positive change.  With the constant pressures of our ever-changing World, Karen creates an environment that is safe, healthy, positive, and collaborative, and offers support and tools to help people achieve lasting peace of mind and true joy.

Maz joined Evolve Psychotherapy in 2024, bringing a passion for treating adolescents, adults, couples, and families for over 10 years. She views psychotherapy as a collaborative effort, creating a safe space for clients to explore and confront their challenges, emotions, and experiences.

Maz addresses a wide range of concerns, including grief, PTSD, anxiety, chronic pain, nightmares, substance use, mood disorders, and OCD. With a comprehensive understanding of trauma, she employs an integrative and holistic approach that incorporates somatic perspectives and specialized techniques such as narrative therapy, artistic expression, trauma-informed skills for children and caregivers, and evidence-based practices. She also works with adolescents aged 12 and up, focusing on mood disorders, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, ADHD, and concerns at school.

Recognizing the significant impact of cultural, societal, and familial environments, Maz provides a safe outlet for discussing experiences related to race, gender, disability, sexuality, and immigration. She also serves veterans, foster and adoptive families, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Through an empathetic and professional relationship, Maz helps clients navigate their intersecting identities and experiences while fostering meaningful change in their lives and communities.

​With over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field, Meg’s passion has always been to help individuals cope with all life stressors, including, but not limited to, those who have experienced trauma, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal difficulties. Meg also works with individuals and families within the works with the LGBTQIA community.

As a Certified Mindfulness Coach, as well as a Certified Resilience Coach, Meg works with individuals and families, 10 years old through mid-life, to increase strength and resilience to grow, gain new perspectives, and live a more fulfilling life.

No single approach is the right one for every individual, and Meg is trained in a range of modalities including, but not limited to DBT, CBT, ACT, Art & Play Therapy, Mindfulness, Exposure Therapy, Trauma Informed and Internal Family Systems.

Meg excels at helping clients, including children, adults and families, to reach their goals in a supportive, empathetic, compassionate and safe space.  Meg currently works with Deb Mills, LMHC, LADCI to gain hours toward independent licensure.

Emma Dauphinais, MS

Emma has over 10 years of experience in the behavioral health field. She treats a variety of diverse clients, with diverse needs, focusing on ages 18+.

Emma is an engaged, detail-oriented provider who practices from a trauma-informed and strengths- based perspective. Her compassionate, non-judgmental, yet direct approach to care allows her to be successful in supporting people beginning therapy for the first time, those who have struggled to connect with mental health providers in the past, as well as those who have experience with therapy.

Emma uses psychoeducation to empower her clients to better understand their symptoms, and how these symptoms impact behavior, relationships, and self-esteem. She emphasizes the importance of therapist-patient collaboration to create goal-oriented treatment plans that consider an individual’s unique needs, history, and preferences. Emma utilizes CBT- and DBT-based interventions to identify and address patterns in thoughts and behaviors that may contribute to worsening mental health symptoms.

Emma successfully treats clients who are experiencing, but not limited to, the following challenges:

 

• Anxiety and panic disorders

• Life transitions (navigating beginnings and endings of life events, such as school, jobs,

relationships)

• Women’s mental health

• ADHD

• Self-esteem, self-advocacy

• Mental health symptoms exacerbated by a medical condition

 

In addition to treating clients at Evolve Psychotherapy, Emma is an adjunct professor at Boston College, where she supports and educates graduate-level counseling students & emerging clinicians in the field of behavioral health.

Evan Lausell-Rodriguez, LMHC

Evan joined Evolve in 2024 with a range of experience & expertise due to his background both in outpatient psychotherapy and his work at a homeless shelter in downtown Boston. Evan is skilled in treating a number of challenges such as, but not limited to, mood disorders, OCD, and addiction as well as anxiety, depression, and trauma, experienced in individuals 17 years and over.

Evan believes that genuineness is one of the most important things in the therapeutic relationship and strives to always create a supportive and warm environment for helping the people that he works with, stating, “I never want to seem robotic when I'm working with my clients and I want to take my time to get to know them as people.”  

Evan's approach emphasizes the client-therapist relationship and he stresses working collaboratively with his clients to help them grow and overcome challenges that they may face in areas such as relationships, work, school, adjustment challenges, and many more.

While Evan tends to use CBT and DBT frequently he is skilled in a number of modalities and likes to tailor-fit his approach to the specific client and their needs.

Kelly Mooney, M.Ed

Kelly joined Evolve Psychotherapy in 2024. She uses a holistic approach in her work with individuals, prioritizing meeting clients where they are and integrating techniques such as CBT, DBT, and Positive Psychology to support their growth.

Kelly deeply values the therapeutic relationship and strives to build a strong, trusting connection with her clients as they work together to achieve their goals. She treats teens and adults facing a variety of challenges,including ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress management, interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, and life transitions.

Kelly specializes in eating disorder recovery and is passionate about anti-diet culture and supporting women in overcoming issues such as body image struggles, perfectionism, and low self-esteem. She works from a Health At Every Size perspective and encourages Intuitive Eating when appropriate. Kelly is currently gaining hours toward independent licensure under the supervision of Deb Mills, LMHC, LADCI.
